Problem Statement

The target audience is anyone who is living alone and wants to build a home, garden, or office. The target users can also be organizations, MNCs, corporations, or enterprises that want to introduce greenery in their work environment

Problem Solution

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • The app could have a comprehensive plant library that includes information about various plants, their care requirements, and common problems that users may encounter.

  • The app could have a feature that allows users to identify plants by taking a photo of them. The app could then provide information on the plant's care requirements.

  • The app could provide personalized plant care based on the user's plant collection. Users could input their plants into the app and receive customized care instructions and reminders.

  • The app could have a community forum where users can share their experiences and ask for advice from other plant parents.

Watering Reminders: The app could provide reminders for watering plants based on their care requirements.

  • The app could offer tips and tricks for plant care, including information on fertilizers, pruning, and repotting.

  • The app could offer virtual plant care services, where users can consult with plant experts for personalized advice.

In-app Purchases: The app could offer in-app purchases of plant care products, such as fertilizers and soil.

Overall, the plant app for Gen Z living alone would provide personalized guidance, useful tips, and relevant information to help users care for their plants with ease. The app's features would cater to the target audience's needs and provide a convenient and easy way for them to care for their plants.

Target Audience

Gen Zers living alone: The app is designed specifically for Gen Zers who are living alone and want to start growing and maintaining their plants.

Beginner Plant Parents: The app will cater to beginner plant parents who may not have much experience with plant care and need guidance on how to care for their plants.

Tech-savvy Users: The app is targeted towards tech-savvy users who are comfortable using mobile apps and are looking for an easy and convenient way to care for their plants.
Lifestyle-oriented Users: The app will cater to users who are interested in leading a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and see plants as a way to achieve that.

The Approach

The first step in designing a plant app for Gen Z living alone was to conduct user research. I wanted to understand the target audience's behavior, habits, and needs when it comes to caring for plants. We conducted surveys and interviews with Gen Zers living alone who were already plant parents or had expressed an interest in owning plants.
